Recruit, Acclimatise, Develop and Retain (R.A.D.A.R.) is a City & Guilds Assured employment skills development programme hosted by Kirklees Local TV. The programme is designed to support your personal and professional growth from the beginning of your career journey.
We aim to celebrate and influence your talent and prepare you with the skills you need to thrive in the workplace. R.A.D.A.R. is designed to help you build confidence and develop skills that will support your career now and in the future. You won’t be doing this alone. Our team will be here to support you every step of the way.
What to Expect
R.A.D.A.R. is a self-guided online learning programme designed around five interactive modules. You’ll work through them at your own pace, with additional guidance and support from our friendly team as and when you need it.
Alongside the modules, you’ll have access to a companion learner workbook to capture your reflections and learning throughout your learning journey.

Communication in the Workplace
This module introduces you to practical communication skills and successful presentation skills. It will equip you with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to communicate at various levels more efficiently and successfully present information to multiple audiences.
Confidence and
Resilience
The aim of this module is to allow you to develop your understanding of self-confidence, its benefits in the workplace and the difference between assertive and aggressive behaviour.
Inclusion and Diversity in the Workplace
From recruitment to the clients you work with, it’s essential to understand, appreciate and see the benefits of embracing diversity in the workplace. This module will give you sufficient knowledge, skills and understanding to recognise and challenge prejudice and discrimination in the workplace.
Understanding and Developing Workplace Relationships
In this module, you will learn all about the concepts around working in a team and showcasing leadership in a working environment.
Employability Skills and CV Development
The final module looks at sharpening and enhancing additional elements, such as your CV and cover letter, when applying for roles. The module will increase your awareness of your own selling points and personal brand.
Companion Workbook & Additional Support
To support your learning throughout the course, you'll receive a companion workbook which will help guide you through each module. Our team will also be on hand to provide support and guidance as needed.
Your Commitment
To get the most out of this programme, we recommend setting aside time regularly to complete the modules. The pace of the course is flexible to your needs, and you can complete as little or as much as you like every time you log in.

Recognising your Achievement
By completing all five modules, you’ll receive a City & Guilds Assured certificate of achievement, recognising your progress and commitment. This nationally recognised accreditation will let employers easily identify and recognise that you are ready to work to a high standard of competency.
